Soya -e- Pomodoro : A taste of Italy in dwtn mia!

"A'Mangiare!"- A phrase I became accustomed to hearing while growing up at my parent's house. Being of Italian descent has always been a great advantage- to my taste buds. I I would always enjoy delicious homemade meals surrounded by family members (all gathered in the kitchen stepping in everyones toes). And let's me not forget to mention a quick game of Scopa after lunch! Because, after all, I don't carry "Carbonara" as a second last name for nothing ,right?!

Those where the days... the days of Italian feasts without having to cook or clean the dishes and being able to comment on the food without much caution. Saying "no" to Pesto and "yes" to a Carbonara was everything you would hear from the kids side of the table.

Today, being in this little corner of downtown Miami, Soya e Pomodoro, took me back to those days!

Located on 120 NE and 1st Street, this little gem is a go-to place when strolling down the streets of Downtown Miami.  Its picturesque decor and mouth-watering menu are a win-win when craving Italian with a scenery reminiscent of the lower district alleys of Italy.
